About
Born in St. Agnes’. Raised on soft pretzels and cheese steaks. Summered at Wildwood, and greeted every New Year’s with the Mummers. I still have every episode of thirtysomething on tape – and I changed career course when I heard the sad news about Jim O’Brien. Forget Tony Bennett – I left my heart in Philadelphia. (And I didn’t go far – just across the Walt Whitman.)
With all there is to love about this city (go Eagles! yay Phillies!) there’s one thing we all hate – inflation. Okay, maybe two things – inflation and the Cowboys. But we can fight ‘em both. TO and the boys will crumble to McNabb and company….and high prices won’t stop us from enjoying the city we love.
So check in often and see what’s going on for Poor Richard and the rest. And if you have any tips – or if you need a writer – please drop me a line at phillyonthecheap@gmail.com. (I just saved you a 42 cent stamp!)
